This class will be a very intense class for being a basic class. We are going to discuss footwork and work on movements while we put effective rounds down range on target. The purpose for this class is to get you the student used to moving and getting yourself off the X if you are ever involved in a self defense situation. You will need to have at least 150 rounds of ammunition and your own firearm. This class is designed for handguns.

This class is designed to get you familiar with the different ways to hold your flashlight in those low light conditions. We will also do several drills that deal with threat identification and making sure we have positive identification of that threat before we shoot. We also talk about the pro's and con's of the different kinds of lights and there use. Make sure your light is charged up and you have extra light bulbs/batteries.

If you carry a firearm everyday from a concealed carry position how often do you practice getting your gun out of under stress. In this class we will work on that process and find the good, bad and the ugly of the different carry positions. You will need to bring eye and ear protection, 200 rounds of ammunition and your concealed carry holster. No holsters will be provided for this class.

Warrior Mindset Course Description

This is a discussion-based course designed to help students understand and incorporate into their thought process and mindset those attributes that separate and differentiate a warrior from the rest of the population.

The NVG (Night Vision Goggles) will be an experience of a lifetime. This is something typically reserved for Law Enforcement SWAT Teams, Military and Special Operations Units. You will go through and advanced course with your rifle and handgun while wearing NVG's and helmet. This class is not for everyone and must have advanced rifle and handgun experience. If you are not sure of experience come and speak with and FMT Instructor so we can see if you are qualified for this course. FMT members receive a significant discount for this class. This is a 2 hour course is designed to get you out of your comfort zone and prepare you for the proper steps necessary to keep you and your family alive during a disaster or a pandemic. Decisions on whether to leave or stay at home and how to prepare for both scenarios. What does your "Bailout" or "Go Bag" look like and what contents should be in it.

This class is designed to get you familiar with your weapon mounted light in low light conditions. This is the foundation class for any person wishing to develop pistol safety, marksmanship and defensive shooting skills. The instructors will work with students to ensure that they fell comfortable, safe and confident with their weapon.

This class will begin with situational awareness and move to static weapons. The training will concentrate on close action defense when you can't draw your weapon. You will learn how disarm a knife and a handgun from these positions and what to do after the person is disarmed.

This will be the main focus points that will be covered during the training. Students must be prepared to be physical but controlled in their actions. This will be reality training so be prepared.

Developing a personal and home protection plan is a key component of not only preparing for how we should (or might) react if confronted by a violent crime, but also how we might avoid violent crime in the first place.

During this class we will go over statistics of active shooter events. We will also talk about past events and take a deep dive into those events to talk about response and what an individual might be able to do during an event. We will talk about Move, Secure and Defend and all that applies to those concepts.

We will supply you with a sub-machine gun and give you an experience that very few have been able to do. We cover how to handle the power of this particular firearm and get accurate shots on target.

You must provide your own 9mm ammunition.

FMT will complete a comprehensive security and safety assessment of your home, to include photos and documentation of any areas of concern. During this assessment we will identify all security risks your home may present and the best way to resolve these. Once the initial assessment is complete you will be given a final electronic copy of all findings and recommendations. S.A.F.E- Situational Awareness for Employees/Everyone is designed to teach everyone to make those pre-incident critical decisions which keep you "Left of Bang". When BANG happens it's too late to prepare, so this course examines area atmospherics, human behavior, maligned communication as well as suspicious actors to give you plenty of advance warning of BANG.

This will be a scenario based class with a Force On Force aspect to it. We highly recommend that you have taken room clearing classes and several simulator sessions before this class. This will be a true test of your skills under the stress and pressure of decision making.

This course will highlight the physical dynamics of encountering another shooter at close range, how to create defensible space, bring their weapon into the fight first and/or disarm the aggressor. The goal of the course is to expose students to topics that are common but not commonly discussed.

As our society becomes more dangerous, we need to find ways to protect ourselves, our family, and our communities. Firearms are one of the common ways we can use to insure our safety. With quality training and practice we become proficient with our chosen firearm. But what if we have a situation where we cannot use the firearm? For example: a close robbery, or a rapid unseen attack? How do we survive and stop the attack if we cannot use the tools we have learned? The answer is, we need to train for any attack that may come. One way is to learn and train in hand to hand combat techniques.

Commando Krav Maga is the system that the Israeli Special Forces use. It is a simple, yet a very effective way to protect yourself and others when you cannot use your firearm. Learning complex movements requires a lot of time and practice, but Commando Krav Maga only requires two body movements to complete a disarm or defense against an attack. This allows our brain and body to rapidly internalize the movements to permanent muscle memory. In this course you will learn gun disarms, and knife defense and disarms and we will cover what if scenarios. Krav Maga is not a system where strength is the key component, and if you are weaker it is not as effective. You will learn body mechanics that will prove to you that it is effective no matter what your strength level is.

This course will instruct participants on how to shoot, move and communicate in complete darkness inside a structure. Students will utilize night vision devices and laser designators on non-lethal live fire weapons to shoot targets.

This course will introduce shooters to the skills required to accurately shoot long distances. Steve will cover the fundamentals of ballistic calculations, windage, elevation, trigger control, reticle orientation etc.
This will be a live fire course held at Double Tapp Range.

This course will detail the steps required in constructing and initiating a vehicle or foot patrol based ambush with a small team. At the end, the members will plan and execute their ambush on a vehicle with paper targets to determine success.

This is an entry level course designed to give you a foundational skillset to be built upon. At the end of this course, you will be able to understand the concepts of land navigation. This is a 2 hour course designed to identify common contributing factors to vehicle and residential burglaries. We will teach you ways to dissuade and deter a burglar from targeting you.

You will see footage of an actual burglary taking place and hear from a suspect that made a career of burglarizing homes. The suspect will share his tactics and how he selects his targets.

We will also share the current trends/M.O.’s of burglars based on my interviews with numerous suspects in custody.

This course is being taught by Eric Aitken and is designed to bring women from basic shooting to intermediate and then advanced. You do not need to have any shooting experience!

This course teaches the tactical approach to operating an AR15 or similar platform in tight spaces including entryways and hallways as well as corner and center fed rooms. Focus will be on movement and addressing targets in non-linear areas. Room and area clearing will also be addressed. This is a live fire exercise!

Course Description

This 3-part course starts in the classroom with a focus on the fundamentals, as we build a base of core skills for growth as a shooter. Day 1 safety, equipment, essentials of pistol handling, draw-stroke, proactive and reactive manipulations, dry fire drills, and mindset are addressed. From this foundation, we move to live fire where we assess shooter strengths and expand on them through skill building drills. Target identification, multiple targets, shooting on the move, primary and support handed shooting and manipulations, ongoing threat assessment, and stress management are major topics that are covered. This class is structured to be accessible to newer shooters, while still allowing more experienced students to challenge themselves.

This class will go over trauma mitigation from gunshot/explosive wounds while under fire or during an active threat. Medevac/tacevac and driver down operations will be taught and practiced. This course employs live fire and has a minimum requirement of a Stop the Bleed Course, intermediate and or advanced pistol.

Disaster Preparedness and Planning Series

In this series, we will expand on tactics, procedures, training and equipment necessary to survive and thrive during a full-scale disaster similar to Hurricane Ian.

November 19th's class we will explore topics such as personal and group security, site efficacy, supply lists and means of conveyance.

December 17th's course will be devoted to Bug Out Bag creation and items necessary for survival as well as complex actions such as site relocation, area defense and communications. The day will be broken down in to minimizing weight but maximizing content use as well as an in-depth examination of all components of an emergency kit. Vehicle kits will also be discussed.

January 14th's course we will touch on disaster medicine and how to get the most out of household items in injury or sickness situations. This course will also teach Stop the Bleed, which comes with a 2-year NAEMT Certification and other trauma-based elements one might encounter during a disaster.

Basic Handgun Movements instructs students on how to draw and manipulate your pistol, complete magazine reloads, primary and off handed shooting as well as stepping off the "X" while engaging a target. The instructor will work with each shooter individually in order to address the best use of pistol and holster system they have chosen.

Students will be trained in target accuracy combined with smooth handling in order to develop muscle memory.

Please bring your pistol, 200 rounds and at least 2 magazines as well as your holster of choice. Eye and ear protection as well as weather dependent clothing is also required.

Fighting Out of a Vehicle is a new FMT course being tested out in conjunction with the USCCA organization in order to develop protocols for pistol, edge weapons and hand to hand self-defense tactics used to stop aggression in a close quarters' environment. There have been numerous actual incidents recorded to draw tactics from. This course will cover the following:

- melee with an aggressor within a vehicle

- defensive techniques against the deployment of a weapon by the aggressor

- defensive techniques against a larger or stronger opponent

- techniques withdrawing a knife or pistol in CQ self-defense within a vehicle

FMT instructors will present several different scenarios from historical attacks and detail how defensive strategies are integral to one's survival. After a series of demonstrations, students will engage in real time CQB so everyone should be prepared to execute physical techniques. Use of mouth guards is encouraged. Helmets and non-lethal firearms will be provided.

Course instructor and attorney Michael Bartlett is a premiere USCCA Critical Response lawyer who has represented two local members in defense cases within the last year. The USCCA 2A Legal Seminar will cover numerous relevant topics for gun owners including Idaho law as it pertains to gun rights, self-defense, stand your ground as well as other state permissibility factors.

This course helps develop a plan for safety and security in the event of a violent or unplanned event to an individual or a residence.

The remedial Pistol course instructs students on how to effectively shoot their personal defense weapon at targets despite malfunctions, jams, and/or technical issues. This course will also cover off-handed shooting and reloads from a variety of unorthodox shooting positions.

Each student will be encouraged to get used to discomfort in their pistol index to target in order to mimic the unorthodoxy required in firearm self-defense.
